scanner is starting to get busy wit brush fires through out the listening area, jus a few areas that I have been picking up long distance BLM Prescott area, state fire MT Lemmon repeater a if was next door, comes in better then Tonto Dispatch and I am not far from the dispatch center. What does my scanner cover,?
all BLM frequencies through out the state
State fire all frequencies through out the state
Prescott NF to cover the Horse Thief area Lookout tower.
All Tonto NF
All BIA frequencies
the other scanner is set up to monitor all frequency's range from 164.000 to 174.000 to pick up any air to ground frequencies
anything I am missing related to wildland fire fighting let me know so I can add , mostly air to ground or air to air radio traffic will be helpful.
I am using the sds200 scanner, discone antenna, kmr400 coax, the antenna is about 50 ft off the ground in open area just above the roof line. With this warm weather fires will be picking up, I would monitor the wildweb site , it is update on all fire dispatch, this page will have all fire centers on it. here is the link to my scanner feed

After reviewing this year's frequency guide for the Southwest Geographical Area Coordination Center it appears there have been no changes for 2025 other than the aviation frequencies, both AM and FM, that I listed in another post of 5/10/25 here in the Arizona Forum. Not even the addition of a new repeater on a network was seen. This follows a number of years when changes occurred every year as the agencies worked to comply with the 1/1/19 NTIA directive allocating the VHF High and UHF federal land mobile radio bands.
