This weekend jeeps will be coming to the Bolivar peninsula, the newly elected sheriff said he was going to Ban this event , however he has decided otherwise , maybe saying he would Ban the event to get elected ? Not sure but now we will see with the New laws in place if it will help keep things under control or not , I do know that jeeps will not be allowed to Park on the beach, but I wonder if business owners will close or stay open ? This event in the past has gotten so out of control that many businesses close during this event because they are overwhelmed by stupidity by drunks , thieves , and vandalism ! So if you live in the area and want to listen in , the usual place to do so is the TXWARN system site's like Galveston county simulcast, high island ECT are where to do so , talk groups Galveston county events A, B, C, D, E are the channels to hear sheriff, EMS, Fire, DPS may use those channels as well or channels On the interop WARN 8 thru 12 hopefully it will be a safe event this year I know the New sheriff hopes so, if not it's going to be all over the News if he fails to control the event this year
