I’d be very interested in hearing any up to date information on the locations of some of the UK ATC transmitting sites, hopefully from forum members who can regularly hear the controllers on the ground. Some of the websites with lists I’ve discovered may be out of date.
Where I live the Newcastle Airport channels are very good signals but the only other audible ground comms are from Scottish on 124.5 and that’s only possible when conditions are really good. I believe the latter is transmitted from the hilltop station at Green Lowther.
Volmet North on 126.595 is always receivable here but is pretty weak. There’s a suggestion that it might come from Great Dun Fell in Cumbria but if that’s correct I don’t seem to be able to hear any of the other channels which are supposedly from the same site.
I would love to be able to put together a current list of locations/ frequencies however limited it might be.
